Reflecting on Our First Frederick Fiber Fest!

We had a great time our very first time vending at the incredible Frederick Fiber Fest!

Our weekend started the night before with a lovely dinner out in Frederick to soak in the anticipation. The next morning, we woke up bright and early to head over to the fairgrounds. I was so happy with how our booth layout came together, which I owe entirely to doing a full practice run at home and meticulously setting everything out the week leading up to the event. A huge shout-out to my husband, who did the absolute best packing job in the car—for the first time ever, he could actually see out of the back window!

This time around, we also introduced new pricing signage, and it was amazing to see how helpful it was for shoppers browsing the booth.

Having my husband and daughter right there with me all day at the booth meant the world. They truly are the greatest support system.

If you’ve never been, this is a massive event with the widest selection of yarns I have ever laid eyes on. It was completely fascinating to see vendors selling huge bags of raw yarn straight from the sheep, with people eagerly buying it up to spin themselves! We also had wonderful booth traffic throughout the day, and I got to snap a picture with a customer wearing the most amazing crochet t-shirt.

At the end of the day, our neck pillows and scrunchies were the absolute stars of the show and did the best. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, chatted with us, and made our first Frederick Fiber Fest unforgettable. We can’t wait until next time!
