Studio Art 101 recently launched a website for Wanda McKnight of the McKnight Report. This project started with updates to a blog site that turned into a total redesign. After meeting with Wanda she and I quickly realized that having a blog wasn't her true goal.

She really wanted her website to promote her tv show so we completely redesigned the website to focus on the show. So now her latest shows are on the home page and there is also an archive of past shows. The blog is now integrated in the site and not the main focus, so she can still write about what interests her and tie it into her latest show topic.

This is a good lesson in web design. Is your website accomplishing your major business goals? If not, it's not doing the work it should be doing for you. Think about where your business is currently and where you would like it to be in the future. Remember, your website is your virtual storefront. How you greet your customers and how you introduce yourself right off the bat will impact whether people act now, buy, leave your site, or shop around for a better deal.

Wanda now has a clean modern site that she can update with ease. A Joomla! content management system was used for this website. Take a look here.
